Niche Culinary Scholarship 2023

The Nevis Tourism Authority invites interested individuals with a passion for culinary arts to apply for the opportunity to receive a fully funded scholarship for professional courses in Plant Based Cooking and Nutrition at Leiths School of Food and Wine, London, England. Courses will run simultaneously for ten (10) weeks. Leiths is an industry-leading cookery school offering professional chef diplomas, enthusiast courses and online cooking courses. The courses will commence April 19th, 2023 and will end June 29th, 2023.

The scholarship will cover the following:

• Airfare;
• Course tuition fees;
• Room and board; and
• Stipend.

Applicants must meet the below listed criteria:

• Must be a resident of Nevis;
• Be employed within the culinary or hospitality industry for at least five (5) years;
• Persons who are self-employed within the industry will also be considered;
• Be willing to act as a brand ambassador for the scholarship;
• Must be working and living in Nevis; and
• No culinary degree or certification needed.

For applications to be considered, candidates must present the following documents:

• Copy of valid Passport biometric page;
• Copy of Birth Certificate;
• Curriculum Vitae
• Copy of Citizenship Certificate (if not a national);
• One (1) page (A4/ letter size) essay indicating how you see yourself benefitting and applying the information and experiences gained from this program. Letter must be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer (see full address below);
• Two (2) recommendation letters. One from a current or former employer and one from a recognized individual within the Tourism, Culinary or Hospitality industry;
• Police Record (within three (3) months);
• Medical Certificate;
