The Nevis Tourism Authority reports continued success and enthusiasm among the participants of the esteemed Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim. The Cross Channel Swim is organized by the Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim Committee and it is known to have  swimmers as young as 8 years old and as mature as 70 and beyond, participate in the challenge.

Amongst those who were awarded top placements in their respective age categories were many local SKN swimmers. In the “19 and under ” category, Skyla Connor placed in 2nd place (1:24:37) in the female group and Troy Nisbett, from the males group, placed 3rd (1:25:01). In the “20 to 34” age category, Jennifer Harding-Marlin, from the female group, who was the overall winner of the Cross Channel Swim with a time of 1:09:28 and Ninian Blake, from the male group, who came in 2nd place with a time of 1:14:57. In the “50 to 59” age category, Jane Hanson of SKN placed first in the female group with a time of 1:17:08.

This exciting and unique challenge is open to those who enjoy the thrill of competitive open water swimming  as well as to swimmers that want to take in the underwater marvels with the aid of snorkeling equipment.
