The Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim is fast approaching and will be held on March 26th beginning at Oualie Beach on Nevis and finishing at Cockleshell Beach on St. Kitts. So far, over 180 swimmers have signed up to take on the challenge.
Every year, hundreds of competitive and novice swimmers flock to the Federation to participate in the Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim. Swimmers cross the ‘Narrows’ between the two islands at a distance of 2.5 miles. The challenge, now in its 17th year, is organized by the SKN Swimming Federation and is open to swimmers of all skill levels with swimmers as young as 8 years old having been known to participate. Along the way, swimmers are able to take a glimpse of stunning marine life, like turtles and schools of fish, as they swim right through the crystal clear waters of the Narrows.
