New Water Taxi Pier Opens at Oualie Bay
Nevis is excited to share that a new, first-class water taxi pier has opened at Oualie Bay. The new pier means visitors to Nevis arriving – or departing – by water taxi will experience an enhanced service and overall travel experience. The upgraded facilities will be a welcome change to visitors traveling via St.Kitts Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB), or those enjoying a day-trip from the sister island. With six minute travel time, water taxis are the most convenient and efficient way to travel between the two islands.
The new, longer pier will also allow for increased trade in goods and services between Nevis and St Kitts, as well as increased capacity in water taxis and other possible services for visitors and residents.
The upgraded facilities and services fulfill the promise of Nevis in ensuring visitors will receive best-in-class service at every touch point during their visit. The new pier is more professional and welcoming to the island. This is critical as the majority of visitors from North America and Europe arrive via direct flights to St. Kitts and water taxis. Visitors can also arrive directly in to Nevis via Vance W. Amory International Airport (NEV) with flights from San Juan and the Caribbean.
